Who Benefits

Canned foods collected from attendees of Nosh Fest III will be provided to local food banks and pantries serving South Florida’s residents.

Feeding South Florida of Pembroke Park, FL, formerly known as the Daily Bread Food Bank, provides food to approximately 800 other not-for-profit organizations throughout South Florida. Key to its success are its Community Partners, who donate food and dollars, and advocate on behalf of the hungry. We are proud to say that Nosh Fest: South Florida’s Jewish Food Festival, is one of many distinguished Community Partners of Feeding South Florida [others include Publix, the Florida Marlins, the Sun-Sentinel, Walgreens and the Miami Dolphins]. www.feedingsouthflorida.org.
WECARE Food Pantry of Broward County is located at the Soref Jewish Community Center on Sunrise Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, FL. It assists all people in need in Broward County regardless of age, race, religion, gender, nationality or disability on an emergency basis and at holiday times. www.sorefjcc.org.
Jewish Family Service of Broward County is located in Plantation, FL. JFS provides a variety of services to persons and families in need, including a food pantry, counseling, and financial assistance.

JFS depends primarily on private contributions, donations from foundations, as well as the Jewish Federation of Broward County, the Conference on Material Claims against Germany and United Way of Broward County. www.jfsbroward.org.

In addition to the canned food donations, Nosh Fest has arranged for all prepared food that is not consumed at the event to be picked up by Feeding South Florida for distribution to its beneficiary organizations.
